As the current President of the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners (ZIRUP), Dr A Mudawu is a distinguished leader in the fields of urban planning, logistics, and development studies. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Development Studies, Dr Mudawu brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the advancement of sustainable human settlements and land-use planning in Zimbabwe and beyond.

In addition to leading ZIRUP, Dr Mudawu serves as the CEO of Human Settlements Experts, where he provides strategic direction in addressing the complexities of urban development, supply chain management, and logistics. As a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, Dr Mudawu  is dedicated to shaping the next generation of professionals, emphasizing practical solutions and innovative approaches to urban and regional planning.
